What is a virtual tour?

A 360 virtual tour makes it possible for interested customers to view a property before deciding whether to rent or buy it, which builds trust and interest in your brand.

Virtual viewings are a proven marketing method that helps double the number of qualified leads for your listings by attracting new business that is likely to close, and brings non-resident buyers or busy prospects closer to conversion.

Creating 360 video and images

You need to have a 360 camera in order to capture videos and imagery in 360. Using a tripod is helpful to stabilise your shots, and you can always edit it out later with a program like Adobe.

It’s probably best to go with a camera that you can attach to a phone, as that makes it easier to upload and also does the stitching for you. Take a look at this article on our website about the best 360 cameras to invest in.

Uploading your own content to your virtual tour

Make full use of the existing assets you already have. Insert your 2D images or videos, audio or text within your scenes. You can upload 2D images up to a file size of 2MB, 2D videos up to a file size of 256MB and 360 videos up to a file size of 1GB.

Adding a floor plan to your virtual tour

To ensure that your prospective clients are able to see a comprehensive view of the floor plan, we would recommend dedicating an entire scene to it by inserting it as a large image at either the beginning or end of your virtual tour. You can add text, a hyperlink to view it on your website, or any other elements you wish.

Adding comments and more information to your virtual tour

Under the ‘Elements’ section, click ‘Insert Element’. Now you can choose from a variety of elements to include in your story, including text. Other elements you can include are 2D images, video, static banners, starting position, audio and hotspots

You can also add hyperlinks (like to your website, for example) to these elements.

Adding CTAs and driving conversions

Under the ‘Elements’ section, click ‘Insert Element’. Now you can choose from a variety of elements to include in your story, including static banners and hyperlinks.

Sharing your virtual tour on social media

When you publish your project, it will automatically create a URL for you to share on your social media networks. As simple as that!

Embedding your virtual tour on a website

When you publish your project, it will automatically create an embed code that you can copy and insert into your website CMS system.

Viewing your virtual tour

The virtual tours you create are viewable on VR headsets and all mobile and desktop devices. The output works across all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge), and is optimised for use on Chrome. The output also works on iOS and Android.
